If you have not noticed, we have updated our classifieds. The new software is still provided by Noah’s Classifieds but the new version allows us as aminastrators to combat the flood of spammers looking to polute a good thing, free classifieds or anything else they can get a hold of, the new software is working GREAT!
You can find the free classifieds at Our Ohio Classifieds dot com. To post a free ad at our classifieds, you MUST register as a user, after you have registered an email will be sent to you with your login information, user name and password. Once you log in, you can change your password to something you can remember in your profile.
Scroll down through the list of categories, select a category you wish to post an ad to, then click the submit an ad button towards the top of the page and you are on your way. You can add a picture to your ad and the ad is good for 30 days, only need the ad for a week, then change the number of days the ad will run, no more than 30 days!
Suggestion, be descriptive in your TITLE, give a good description on the item you wish to sell and don’t forget to add a phone number! Visitors will find a link under your ad that they can click to contact you but some prefer a phone number so you decide on how they can contact you.

Happy New Year! Are you ready for 2009? Better yet maybe I should ask , is your website ready for 2009? I try to make it a point to update my websites for the coming year. Take a good look at your website and decide if you need to update yours.
If nothing else make sure to update your copy-right statement, by doing this at least lets the visitor know you do update from time to time. Take a good look at your content, does it say what you need it to say? Maybe now is the time to add a few more keywords to your content or add a new picture. Be sure and take advantage of the ALT text on the picture, as many search engines will reconize the text and use it to determine your relevance with in there network.
Is your link popularity strong enough? To find out who is linking to your website, visit your favorite search engine, in this example we will use GOOGLE. In the search box, type the following, link:www.yourdomain.com, the results page will serve up all other website with in GOOGLE that currently link back to your website.
GOOGLE has all sorts of webmaster tools available for you to use to evaluate your website. Give it a try and sign up for a free GOOGLE webmaster tools account. Once signed up you will be able to get Google’s view of your site and diagnose problems, discover your link and query traffic, and share more information about your website.

You can even pay your tickets online if you do not have to appear in court.
